TY-LA1000 Bulb Install

Remove Screws from Inside cage through holes
  1. Remove Cage.
  2. Remove screws from mounting ring.
  3. Remove Bulb and remove ring from bulb.
  4. Compare with replacement bulb, 
  5. Install new bulb and cage in reverse order.

  • Do not handle Hot Bulb or Lamp Assembly.
  • Allow unit to cool before lamp removal.
  • Do not over tighten electrical connections, glass will break
Common Symptoms of a Weak Projector Bulb are:
  1. Dim image with low brightness and contrast.
  2. No Picture, Dark Screen.
  3. Shadows in Image, sometimes circular.
  4. Intermittent Shutdown.
  5. Fluctuating or Flashing Brightness.
  6. Longer than Normal starting time.
  7. Popping Sound, Then Won't Start.
  8. On Screen Lamp Replacement warning.
  9. Blinking Indicator Lights.
  10. Raster Tinted, Poor White Balance.
Make Sure You Have the Correct Model or Lamp Number
PANASONIC Lamp Assemblies are part specific for different TV models and not usually interchangeable. The correct Lamp Assembly number can be found in the users manual. If you know your TV Model number, look at the models listed under the Lamp Numbers on our PANASONIC Lamp Gallery page. You can also search the TV Model number. (PT50LC14, etc,) at the top of our FIND YOUR LAMP page.

  • Remove Power from the TV and allow to cool before removing lamp.
  • Consult PANASONIC User Manuals for correct lamp replacement, cleaning and set-up procedures.
  • Panasonic TVs should be visually inspected for lint or dust that restricts airflow and can cause overheating.
  • Overheating is a major cause of Reduced Lamp Life.
